Project 1: Application of Basic Building Services
Project one aims to develop students’ understanding and knowledge of building services and its systems in design and construction. It is also teach the student to apply appropriate building services systems and solution for a specific design. Through this project, it allows the student to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of applicability of specific building services systems in the design in response to practical considerations and to develop students’ ability to resolve issues related to specific building services systems.
In this project, students are given a plan to work with and to demonstrate their understanding of building services by proposing and designing appropriate services by proposing and designing appropriate systems for the building which include:
i) electrical supply system
ii) cold water and hot water supply system
iii) sewage and sanitary system
iv) storm water and drainage system
Project 2: Building Services in Public Buildings
This project is a group project which requires us to perform an analysis on building services systems found in multi-storey public buildings. As a group, we were to select the Studio 4 building design of one of our members and propose suitable services systems to suit the building design. Services to be proposed and incorporated include: Active and Passive Fire Protection Systems, Mechanical Ventilation System, Air-conditioning System and Mechanical Transportation System.

Reflection
Through Project 1 to 2 in Building Services, I've learned the applications of services in all our daily buildings and the way it works for suitable situations.
